• What is it for?

Each kendama comes with an accessories box to both enhance and maintain your experience.

  • Contents

    The box includes: 1 x bearing, 1 x string, 2 x sandpaper, 2 x bearing stopper, and 1 x tweezers.

Bearing stopper

If you do not require the bearing to fall out of your tama, then you may use a bearing stopper.

To install - Place the bearing stopper as shown on the left, then use the spike to slowly and evenly push the bearing stopper to as far as the spike reaches.

To remove - Use the tweezers provided to twist and pull it out. You may also try prying with the tweezers.

  • What is there to clean?

Buildup of hand oils/grease. This is usually absorbed by the wood in a traditional kendama, but will stay on the surface of a printed kendama. Causing the cups, bevel, and stall points to be slippery.

  • Damp paper towel

To fix this issue, simply wipe the necessary areas with a damp piece of paper towel, then dry off. Do not use any cleaning agents, only water is necessary.

  • Frequency

This is personal preference. As long as you are not drenching your kendama in water, you may do it as often as needed.

  • Why is it included?

PLA, the material used to print our kendamas, will eventually become glossy and smooth as you play with it. So sandpaper is used to bring your kendama back to its original condition.

  • Fine (F) sandpaper

For the bottom of the tama, to maintain a squeaky finish.

    **Lightly sand the tama**

  • Rough (R) sandpaper

For everywhere else, especially stall points, to maintain a grippy finish.

    **Lightly sand the ken**

  • Frequency

Not often. This depends on how often you play and the type of hands (oily/dry) you have. Should only be done if cleaning (see above) is not enough.
